These amulets were unearthed in a cave at Kanchanaburi, where the Thais believe this is where Khun Paen invoked the spirit and roasted his KMT - hence the name khun paen cave. According to an old monk manning the counter, this cave served as a retreat shelter to many lersi and monks given its austerity. Noteworthy ajarns of this era who had spent time in this cave, among many others, includes the late LP Yim of Wat Nong Bua, Lersi Tafai etc..
